Twin Scroll Turbo
The idea of a twin scroll turbo is to separate the exhaust gas channels of those cylinders which interfere with each other in order to allow a more effective flow to the turbine. Thus, the exhaust pulsation can be used to drive the turbine more efficiently without drawbacks on the engine gas exchange process.
